How it works

Today, someday, and the person in between.

Three quiet things, done well. Keep what matters now. Send something to who you'll be. And let the past find you, now and then.

Keep a moment

A photo, a short video, your voice, or just a few words. One tap, and it's kept.

Send something to Someday

A letter to your future self, sealed until the day you choose. Even you can't open it early.

Meet yourself

A moment from this day in an earlier year. Once a year, your year as a night sky.

Keep

A moment, kept in a single tap.

Take a photo, hold for a short video, say something, or just write. A feeling and a few words can follow — never required.

  • A voice can play right on the photo it belongs to.
  • Forgot something? Keep it for the day it happened.
  • Old photos keep the day they were taken.
Someday's Keep screen: Keep this moment? with a shutter for a photo or video, voice and words.
Home: a letter ready to open, a moment from this day last year, and days of kept moments.

Send

Write to who you'll be. Seal it.

Write a letter — or say it in your own voice — and choose when it opens: in a year, in five, in ten, on a birthday, or "when" something happens.

  • Hold to seal. Once sealed, even you can't open it early.
  • Keep a moment with it, to open together.
  • A gentle notification on the day it's ready.
Writing a letter: Dear future me, Today the light came in sideways and I thought of you.
When should this open? In 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, when I turn, or open when — and Hold to seal.

And one day

It finds you.

"Your past self sent you something." Hold the letter to break the seal, and your own words arrive from another time. Keep it with your moments, or let it go.

A sealed letter: Your past self sent you something. Hold the letter to open it.
The opened letter: On October 14, 2025, you wrote: Dear future me, with Keep it or Let it go.

Meet yourself

The past comes back on its own.

Now and then, a moment from this day in an earlier year appears on Home. And once a year, your whole year as a night sky — a star for each day you kept something, lighting up from January to December.

  • A calendar of your days; pinch Home to open it.
  • "This day, every year" — swipe from day to day.
Meet yourself, 2026: twelve small skies, a star for each day something was kept.
The calendar: October 2026, with a letter waiting on today.

Questions

Good to know.

Is Someday free?

Yes — free, with no ads and no subscription. If it becomes part of your life, you'll be able to support it with a small tip in the app. That's never required, and Someday will only mention it rarely.

Where are my moments kept?

On your phone, in Someday's private space. There's no Someday account or server, so we never see what you keep. Your moments leave the phone only when you make a backup or a copy yourself.

What if I lose or change my phone?

Make a locked backup now and then, and keep it somewhere safe — a computer, or a cloud drive. On a new phone, bring it back with your 24-word recovery key. Without a backup, a lost phone means lost moments, so we'd gently suggest making one.

Can I open a letter early?

No. Once sealed, a letter stays sealed until its day — even for you. That's the promise that makes opening it feel like something.

Will Someday keep reminding me to use it?

No. There are no streaks, no daily nudges and no "you haven't posted in a while". Someday only tells you when a letter is ready, and — only if you turn it on — lets a moment from an earlier year find you, at most once a month.

Can I take everything out?

Yes. "Take a copy" puts every photo, video, voice and word in a folder you can open anywhere, no app needed. Letters still sealed stay sealed.

Which phones does it work on?

Android first — coming soon to Google Play. iPhone is planned for later.

Which languages?

English, Chinese (中文), Spanish (Español) and Japanese (日本語). Someday follows your phone's language, or the one you choose.
